ICAO ELP Japan Exam Report (SP-13 / FC-23) — July 2026 | Real Pilot Experience

🌍 Japan 📅 Jul 2026

Single Picture — Scene:

Picture: SP-13
This picture shows a rescue scene following an A320 ditching on the Hudson River, with the Statue of Liberty, bridges, and the New York skyline in the background. A flock of birds in the sky suggests a bird strike took place. Multiple helicopters, including rescue, police, media, and a yellow helicopter, are hovering overhead. As the aircraft floats on the water, the flight and cabin crew are assisting passengers—such as a woman and a child—to evacuate onto the L1 door slide, the left wing, and near the rear door. A pilot is also escaping from the cockpit slide window, while several ferry boats are approaching the scene to help with the rescue.

Sequence Picture — Scene:

Scenario: FC-23
A four-picture story where, 15 minutes after a pre-departure briefing at 15:00, three dogs enter the airport grounds through a hole in the fence, observed by a controller through binoculars. One hour later, three police cars chase the dogs, and two hours later, the runway reopens, allowing one aircraft to take off while a long queue of aircraft waits on the taxiway. The scenario also addresses concerns regarding fuel monitoring and safety precautions required during refueling operations due to departure delays.

Notes:

The examiner was a man in his 40s and seemed calm and friendly.
He spoke English slowly. If you cannot understand the question,
I asked several times, but everything went smoothly without any problems.
