SIN-NRT, JL710, entering Fukuoka FIR, Flight Level 390. A large amount of smoke is generating from the lavatory, diverting to OKA. Smoke is intensifying, declaring emergency.

When smoke occurs in the lavatory, is there an indication in the cockpit? What about in the crew rest area? If an alarm sounds in the crew rest area, what do you do? Does a pilot also go to check?
